Shutdown Menu at Computer’s Power Button Is Pushed

Automatically, Windows XP will shut down when you press the Power button. Practically it is not a good practice to do that as it may harm your Operating system. Concept to change it so that the shutdown menu is displayed alternatively. This will be very helpful in many cases such as when you are in hurry to rush somewhere or if you have little kids going around the system. It is really straightforward and simple to change it:
  • Go to Windows XP’s desktop and right-click on desktop.
  • Select “Properties” and the Display Properties window will appear on-screen.
  • Open the “Screen Saver” tab and discover the “Power” button near the bottom of the window. Click Power button.

  • After Power Options Properties window displayed, go to the “Advanced” tab.
  • There is a dialog box in the “Power Buttons” section. Select what you need Windows to do when the power button is pushed.
